My story
Who’s the cutest pup in town? Me, of course! My name is Mocha. My littermates and I were born in a big, scary shelter after our mom was found as a stray. We were only at the shelter for a couple of days before we moved to our foster home. Besides being so darn cute, I’m independent, brave and adventurous. I play well by myself and with others. I have a lot of energy and I have to admit that I’m a bit mischievous, so I would fit best with someone who is patient and willing to work with me, as I’m only a puppy. My foster mom thinks I would do best with a yard or space to run around and explore in. Me, I just want a mom or dad – or a family – to call my own. I can’t wait for my new furever home! Will you seal the deal and make me part of your family?Mocha’s mom is Java, a beautiful 40 pound mixed breed – perhaps with some German Shepherd DNA. But it’s really just a guess - she may have Basenji, Belgian Malinois or Hound DNA as well. Java’s nurturing nature has undoubtedly influenced her puppies, who are not only dog and people friendly but also display typical puppy behavior—happy, playful, and full of energy. Mocha and her siblings are current on their vetting – they are spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines, worming and preventatives. But they’ll still just babies who will need adopters who will commit the time to house train them, teach them manners, and burn their considerable energy with play. Adopters will need to be committed to managing normal puppy behavior such as chewing, potty training and leash training.

Due to the high level of care and attention a young puppy needs, we will be looking for homes where the pups will not be left alone for hours at a time. Our rescue also requires that our adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm, flea and tick prevention. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered.If you are ready for all the joy and challenges of raising a puppy, please go to the link below fill out an application.
